A quote in the year 2014 from LucasFilm author and administrator Pablo Hidalgo may confirm that the Rey tales at the ending of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker were designed from the word Go. Written in the recently published Art Of Star Wars novel, the quote was filmed about a year and a half ere The Force Awakens was delivered. Hidalgo was considering Rey’s trajectory in a fiction group gathering and how he would enjoy observing her progress and ultimately take on the screen of “Skywalker.”
A Palpatine To A Skywalker!
One of the most significant studies Episode IX drew was that Rey’s service at the end of the movie – from a Palpatine to a Skywalker – appeared quickly proposed. But Hidalgo’s quote confirms that the authors were considering something very related long before fans even got a sight of their scavenger becoming Jedi. What’s unclear is whether LucasFilm forever prepared on giving Rey a Palpatine, but it’s a significant change.

In the recently published Creation of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, new plans for the character from the movie have been exposed for the first season. While Rey’s attire would be revised in the final film, the reaction to primarily white color design, preferably of her earth-toned clothes from past movies, was used to compare her practically from the Dark Side of the Force. For Rey, the uniform artists and concept creators took motivation quickly from the initial vision of her teacher and surrogate mother character Leia Organa.
