Star Wars announced a new batch of aspiring Jedi younglings will be entering The High Republic next year. During the Star Wars Celebration event, Lucasfilm officially announced Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, a new animated series that takes place centuries before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Master Yoda will be making an appearance in the new Young Jedi Adventures series that will be released on Disney+.

During the announcement, the creative team announced revealed the role of Master Yoda in the new star wars series, “This show centers on a group of Younglings who, their entire life, they’ve grown up in the Jedi temple on Coruscant. Master Yoda realizes that it’s time for them to get some real-life experience out in the field, putting their Jedi lessons into practice. So he sends them into different outpost temples in the Outer Rim, and together, they go on adventures saving the day and helping other people.”

Young Jedi Adventures will be the first full-length animated Star Wars series created for preschoolers, early grade-schoolers, and their families. During the training, the Jedi will tackle topics of compassion, self-discipline, teamwork, patience, and friendship. It will be the second Star Wars television series to be set during the High Republic era.

The Star Wars franchise is flourishing with new content, such as the long-anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series as well as the first trailer for Andor released recently. The new Young Jedi Adventures series promises a more kid-friendly portal into the galaxy far, far away. Nothing much is revealed about the show and will it connect with other parts of the Star Wars canon is not yet known. The details about the characters, cast and crew, and animation style have also not been made available.
