The actress has grown and inspired so many with her journey

Starting from her career as an actress, Zendaya was a Disney girl. The actress featured in the series Shake It Up. She would later come in other Disney-related projects such as Zapped and Frenemies. Let’s not forget the Disney series that she acted in and produced in K.C. Undercover. As for the reason why the actress has not returned for any further projects with Disney, she stated the following

“The only way I was going to come back to the Disney Channel was if I was in a position of more power. One thing that is really important to me is diversity on the channel. It’s hard as a young person of a different ethnicity or background to look at the TV and not see anyone who looks like you. Representation is very important.”

Clearly, the actress is extremely aware of how people of color have to struggle in Hollywood. Her victory for her second Emmy award only goes to show that the actress is changing how Hollywood treats black actors and actresses by giving them hard-hitting roles more often. Upon winning the award, Zendaya gave a few tear-jerking words when she talked about how the show has affected her life.

“Anyone who has loved a Rue or feels like they are a Rue, I want you to know that I am so grateful for your stories, and I carry them with me, and I carry them with her.”
