Yesterday, the civil jury declared their result in favor of Judy Huth. She accused Bill Cosby for molesting her when she was 16 years old. According to The NY Times, after two weeks of deliberation, the verdict was read in a Santa Monica courtroom on Tuesday. Precisely, after days of deliberation between Huth’s lawyers and Cosby’s legal team, the jury came to a verdict in which it was decided that Huth should receive $500,000 in damages from Cosby.

Huth Alleged That Bill Cosby Physically Abused Her At The Playboy Mansion
According to a lawsuit filed against Bill Cosby in 2014 by Judy Huth, an alleged victim of sexual assault, he sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 1975 when she was only 16 years old. The actress claimed that he drugged and molested her before letting her out of the house on her own.
He allegedly invited her to meet him at his tennis club and play billiards. Allegedly, Cosby made his guests drink beer whenever he won the game. After being allegedly served multiple drinks, Cosby then took her to Playboy Mansion where he told her they would have some privacy to be alone together. Once inside the house, Huth entered one of the bedrooms and found Cosby sitting on the bed. He then proceeded to sexually molest her and she was unconscious or could not resist due to fear, according to a civil lawsuit filed against Cosby.
An Unconstitutional Coercive Bait-And-Switch
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ruled that the decision to use Bill Cosby’s statements from a previous deposition – where he admitted to giving quaaludes to women with whom he wanted to have s*x – against him constituted a due process violation. The court characterized this as an “unconstitutional coercive bait-and-switch.”
