Supergirl season 5’s trailer unveiled at SDCC Comic Con 2019 revealed that this season it will be a fight against people attempting to misuse technology. But that’s not all as Kara will also have to deal with the fact that Lena Luthor now knows that Kara Danvers is in fact Supergirl. Also let’s not forget that there is the looming threat of Leviathan and Crisis on Infinite Earths as well. With so many new plotlines being introduced in the show, it makes sense that new posters will be released.

The new posters which have been unveiled for Supergirl Season 5 show a hidden side of all of its characters. Perhaps it gives a hint of what’s going to happen to them?

These new posters coming out of SDCC 2019, tease the hidden side of some of the CW show’s most important characters going forward.

A total of five posters have been released and they were shared via Warner Bros TV Twitter. These five posters include five characters from the show, namely- J’onn J’onzz/ Martian Manhunter (David Harewood), Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath), Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath), Kelly Olsen (Azie Tesfai) and Eve Teschmacher (Andrea Brooks).

The images themselves show more stoic versions of the characters overlaid with a hidden side in a different colour. Check out all the five posters below:

All of the above five actors are returning from Supergirl Season 4 but the Girl of Steel’s next outing will also see a lot of new characters being added. Joining the cast is Meaghan Rath as a female Brainiac 5, Julie Gonzalo as Andrea Rojas/ Acrata and Staz Nair as original character Willain Dey a renowned reporter. Jon Cryer will also reprise his role as Lex Luthor in some capacity. But with all these additions there’s a departure as well. Longtime star Mehcad Brooks who plays James Olsen will be exiting the series.

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Supergirl in the titular role. Season 5 will premiere on October 9 (Sunday) at 9 p.m, ET/PT.
