Singer Kate Bush’s 1985 hit “Running Up That Hill” recently broke three world records thanks to Netflix’s Stranger Things. Kate Bush wrote and produced the entire album herself and owns the copyright to her recordings, this means she’s likely keeping the bulk of the money that she’s earning.

Kate Bush earned a lot of money
As per sources, she earned about $2.3 million in streaming royalties in the month since the release of Stranger Things’ latest season. These earnings were generated between May 27 and June 23, and she will continue to earn more, given that new episodes of the show were released on July 1st. Kate Bush is likely keeping 80% or more of the money generated by her songs as she owns the copyright to her recordings.
Stranger Things and its stars also hold some records of their own
In March 2022, the show broke the record for most in-demand sci-fi drama TV shows. The global demand rating of the show was 52.4 times greater than that of the average TV show and in November 2018, Millie Bobby Brown broke the record as the youngest UNICEF ambassador. She was 14 years and 274 days old.
