Megan Denise Fox is one of the most famous American actresses in Hollywood and is highly respected for her extremely talented acting skills and seductive personality that can charm anyone. She made her acting debut in the film Holiday in the Sun, which helped her land many supporting roles in film and television. In the following years, she guest starred on the sitcoms What I Like About You and Two and a Half Men. She made her feature film debut in 2004 opposite Lindsay Lohan in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. After playing Mikaela Banes in Michael Bay’s big-budget Transformers adaptation, Megan Fox became an overnight star. Although Fox was getting lucrative projects and rising to the top of her career, her appearance in the sequel to the titular movie was a cause for controversy, especially when director Michael Bay ordered her to gain ten pounds. In 2009, the film was released around the world with successful box office results.

The Hollywood industry may seem glamorous to those who have never worked in show business and promising to anyone who wants to begin their acting career, but not all that glitters is gold. In the past, many actresses have been very vocal about the disturbing experiences they have had in the industry. Megan Fox also had a similar narrative, and no one could have thought her fearless personality and outspokenness would lead her career to turn sour.

In 2007, Paramount began a live-action Transformers franchise, with Steven Spielberg serving as producer. Shia LaBeouf played Sam Witwicky in the first movie, which Michael Bay directed, with Fox playing his co-star and love interest Mikaela Banes. The film was a big commercial success, grossing over $700 million globally. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, its follow-up, scored a far better response in 2009.

But Megan Fox’s remarks against the movie director in 2009 cast a negative light on the franchise. She shared how the movie director, Michael Bay, behaved on the set and compared him to Hitler in her Wonderland magazine interview from 2009, which led to the actress leaving its sequel, Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

While rumors said that the studio and movie director made the decision to move on, the Transformers actress’ representatives insisted that it was her decision to leave. After the actress made the Hitler remark, Michael Bay said in his response that Steven Spielberg instructed him to fire her in 2011. Fox told Wonderland magazine,

“He’s like Napoleon, and he wants to create this insane, infamous madman reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for, but when you get him away from the set and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him. He’s vulnerable and fragile in real life, and then on set he’s a tyrant.”

The Jennifer’s Body actress gained a bad girl reputation that was challenging to deal with after making comments about Bay that upset Steven Spielberg. Hollywood powerhouses often detest it when celebrities criticize them. While the starlet showed up for the film’s early rehearsals before announcing she would be leaving the franchise for good, Ehren Kruger, the screenwriter for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, told GQ in 2011 that “she seemed like an actress who didn’t want to be a part of it. She was saying she wanted to, but she wasn’t acting like it.”

Her career took a turn for the worse after a public argument with the film’s director, and Fox has played fewer roles since.

In an interview with British GQ in 2010, Fox revealed that she had never been on a casting couch until she became one of the most famous figures in the industry and started to experience the dark side of the movie business. Fox said,

“Any casting couch sh*t I’ve experienced has been since I’ve become famous. It’s really heartbreaking. Some of these people! Like Hollywood legends. You think you’re going to meet them, and you’re so excited, like, I believe this person wants to have a conversation with me, and you get there and you realize that’s not what they want at all.”

Megan Fox is in the spotlight right now because of purported problems in her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly. The couple got engaged last year after four years of dating. However, there are rumors that Kelly and the actress are at odds over allegations that he had an illicit affair with his guitarist, which Fox disputed in a statement, claiming there was no involvement from a third party.
