Altarah And Her Destroyed World

While Director Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie and his team learned more about the Strike, Daisy and her team found themselves captured by the chromicons- or, at least, what’s left of them. Altarah told Enoch:

“Our home world has been destroyed. All that remains of the chronicom race are aboard this fleet. In recent years there were whispers of strange phenomenon on distant planet, entire world mysteriously destroyed. We never imagined it would happen to ours. It began slowly with minor distortions in the fabric of space that released a plague. There was a great debate, but we failed to act, and then it was too late. The effect spread rapidly, consuming our planet.”

After Altarah explained how they took possession of the Confederacy’s fleet, Jemma Simmons asked why the chromicons abducted them. “I presume Altarah wants to know how you were able to travel through time, so that we can go back and save out world,” Enoch guessed and Altarah confirmed this.

Enoch was able to convince the chromicons that Fitz was the only one who could figure out a way to send them back in time. However, he let slip that threatening Simmons was the key to making Fitz work with them. As such, Simmons chose to remain behind with Fitz to save everyone’s lives, sending Daisy home with Piper and Davis.

The Killer With Phil Coulson’s Face

While they were in space, Mack and his team faced a threat like never before: a mysterious killer wearing Phil Coulson’s face. As glad as Mack and Yo-Yo were to see their friends, they’ll have to explain this truth to Daisy, who considered Coulson as a father figure. Judging by May’s reaction, Daisy probably won’t take too kindly to this either. All this has certainly set up a confrontation that has been brewing since the Season 6 premiere- whether Daisy realized it or not.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D airs on Fridays at 8 pm ET/PT on ABC.
