Marvel fans have voted the best Avenger as Thor!

A big, hard-hitting issue.

Movie watchers have followed the Avengers, both individually and together, for years. They have grown up in awe of Iron Man. The huge fans of Bruce Banner have experienced his turmoil right along side his Hulk avatar.

The conflict of watching the powerful group come together and living through the most ambitious crossover event in history gas given rise to a major question. With the endgame drawing ever nearer, fans have been encouraged to make an informed decision.

Which superhero reigns supreme?

To answer this pressing question of all times, LADBible put a poll out on Twitter, asking fans to vote for their favourite Avenger. Iron Man and Thor emerged the leaders in the race. A final vote made it official. It gave the God of Thunder, the crown.

If this question had been asked a few years ago, just after the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the result would have been the same.

Thor’s character:

In the movies Thor, The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, and Age of Ultron, the son of Odin lacks a character. His story couldn’t be built due to the shadow of Loki. This led to his character arc being minimal.

However, Taika Waititi, who directed Thor: Ragnarok, redeemed the character. It made Thor more relatable and funny, and gave more direction to his quest.

The presentation of a newfound, relatable character continued in Avengers: Infinity War as Thor set out for revenge for everything he’d lost along the way, and as fans rooted for the superhero, the love for him clearly solidified.

Result:

And so here we are, with Thor officially voted as the best Avenger. The results were extremely close, with the winner earning 51 per cent of the vote, while Iron Man took 49 per cent.
