Actors’ statements:

The stars Kaley Cuoco (Penny) and Jim Parsons (Sheldon) told in January that they want the dang elevator to be fixed, because that is what most fans want.

Parson said, “That’s one of my wishes for the final episode. The elevator gets fixed, at least for a minute, and then we all get stuck in it.”

Cucco responded with enthusiasm, saying that “It would be a great show ending for me!”

Johnny Galecki (Leonard) broke down and wished that the final episode would include lots of emotional moments.

“None of us are going to be able to keep from crying during the last taping. We’ve got to justify it in the writing somehow.”
