Marvel is getting serious about The Eternals and the latest comics are about to take a deep dive into the history of the Eternals and their comic story is going to focus on their initial meetings with the first Avengers of 1,000,000 BCE. In the very new preview for Eternals: Celestia #1, Ajak’s initial responsibility was to be a translator for the Celestials is expanded.
Meet Marvel’s Oldest Avengers Team
And what’s more, is that we get to meet Marvel’s oldest Avengers team which is more than a million years ago. The Eternals are the oldest races in Comics history and were created by the Celestials. Eternals served the Celestials and even formed their own society on Earth. In the current series, it was revealed that each time one of their own died, they were resurrected by the Great Machine, which costed a human life as well.
That means that Eternals did accidentally kill many innocent people.
In a new preview for Eternals: Celestia #1, the story opens with Ajak recounting how she has spent nearly a million years as the interpreter and the diplomat for the Celestials. Ajak cries as she reveals that the Celestials left the Eternals to fend themselves after they realized that they no longer need them. The story takes the fans back by a million years as the Earth’s oldest heroes interrupt Ajak’s conversation with a Celestial.
Ajax is then greeted by the Avengers of 1,00,000 BCE. The group of course includes some of the most powerful Marvel Comics heroes to exist ever! The members include the former Phoenix, Odin, the Earth’s very first Sorcerer Supreme in Agamotto, the first Black Panther, the first Iron Fist, a creature wielding the Starbrand who does resemble a lot like Hulk and the very first Ghost Rider who rode a fiery Mammoth !
It will be amazingly cool to see Marvel’s oldest heroes; the Avengers and the Eternals meet for the first time. And would be more interesting to find out whether the Avengers and the Eternals were allies or enemies.
Eternals: Celestia #1 arrives in stores on Wednesday.
