The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: New Rumor Reveals Bucky’s Surprising Family Member

Right after WandaVision comes to an end (supposedly on March 12), Disney+ will continue with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. There’s no denying the fact that this series has the potential of being even more action packed. We’re going to get 6 episodes worth of a cinematic experience on the streamer. And the greatest aspect of this series is that along with the returning characters, we’re going to see a lot of new ones.

Marvel Scooper, Roger Wardell has been quite inactive over the last few months. But he has just returned with a bunch of scoops in the last few days. Now before we move any further, let me clear something. Wardell’s scoops about Avengers: Endgame were all spot on. But ever since then, he changed his account, and none of his other scoops have been verified because Phase 4 has not begun yet. So, we’ve got to take the following information as a grain of salt since the legitimacy of the account has not been proven yet. But having said that, the following new details about The Falcon and the Winter Soldier do match the trailer. Take a look:

Now, the trailer has shown us Sam and Bucky working with Zemo. We’ve seen set photos of Batroc the Leaper and Desmond Chiam’s mystery character. So, they could also be the ones that Sam and Bucky might have to team up with. Other set photos have shown Ogun’s biker gang. So, it’s clear that a lot of villainous groups and mercs will show up in this series. And, US Agent’s presence also confirms the fact that the Weapon Plus program will also drive the story. So, the scoop does seem to be coming true.

The next bit of information could spoil an element of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. So, here’s a potential SPOILER WARNING. Don’t read ahead in case you don’t want to know.

People have been presuming Erin Kellyman’s character to be a version of Songbird. But apparently, that isn’t the case. She is going to surprise Bucky, and all of us. Captain America: The First Avenger made it clear that Bucky was quite the ladies’ man. Having said that, take a look at the next bit of information that Wardell has revealed:

The trailer showed us Sam going back to his family business, i.e. “Wilson’s Family Seafood.” So, we will dive a bit deeper into his family background for sure. But Erin Kellyman playing Rebecca “Rikki” Barnes certainly comes as a major surprise. It shows how the series will dig deeper into Bucky’s character as well. In the comics, Rikki goes on to become Nomad. With Kellyman, that becomes a possibility in the MCU as well. Although, her backstory will be altered dramatically, if you compare it with the comics.

The trailer seemingly placed Rikki amongst one of the villainous groups that Sam & Bucky will come across. In fact, there was one particular shot where Sam and Rikki were fighting each other. So, it seems that they’d probably start as adversaries, and through the course of the series, Rikki might join Grandpa Bucky, and Sam in their cause.

Let’s wait and see if this scoop turns out to be true. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier arrives on March 19, 2021.
