The director of Birds of Prey, Yan, was of the opinion that the prison scene could have been shot in a better way that would create a huge impact on the audiences. Yan further added that a lot of ideas were discussed for the fight scene however later on this became a part of the film.

Initially, the writer wanted to showcase a double ended dildo in Harley’s hand instead of that current weapon. The use of this weapon would have made the scene to be a huge hit since it would have involved a fun aspect.

The scene would also have portrayed the fact that women are as strong as men. The main reason for the R rating argument is due to the fact that the NSFW weapon was used in the scene. This in turn eventually led to the failure of the film at the box office.

However, it would be best for the audiences to decide whether the R rating was the real issue or not.
