Iron fist is the fictional character published in the Marvel comics. The series, created by Scott Buck, first aired in 2017 on Netflix. After two seasons, Netflix unexpectedly decided to cancel the series in 2018. The show starred Finn Jones as Danny Rand, a martial expert, and has the power to call upon a mystical power known as the “Iron Fist.”

There was much more to bring out in the story for the fans, such as Colleen Wing and Ward Meachum, before it got canceled. But the seasons were negatively criticized for not having enough action sequences and that it was weak. The producers left the story on a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2, so fans had high hopes from the story. The first season had 13 episodes and was released in March 2017. While the second season had ten episodes and was released in September 2018.

Interview with Finn Jones:

In a candid interview with the actor, Finn Jones revealed the story of Season 3 had it not been canceled. He said, “Raven [Metzner], who was the showrunner for the second season, and I were sure that there was gonna be a Season 3, so we had already devised the whole thing. I was so excited to get into that. It really was gonna be about Danny finally assuming the role of the Iron Fist, fully accomplished, fully charged up, and fully in control of his shit, as well. It was gonna be this amazing story [with] Danny and Ward off in foreign lands as a buddy storyline almost. And then, you had Colleen in New York, isolated with this new power, struggling to come to terms with her identity and with this power. At some point, we would have met again and probably formed this crazy power couple [or] superhero relationship.”

The actor also revealed that the third season was much more promising; the fact that fans would not get to see the series’ full potential disappointed him. He described the canceled season’s plot, which sounded very appealing. Season 3 would have developed Rand’s, Colleen’s, and Ward’s characters in a much better way. The storyline was converging from China to New York in season 3. Netflix has no plans, as of now, to bring back the show but might bring about the characters in some other way.
