Ellen Pompeo decides to leave Grey’s Anatomy after 19 seasons
The heart of fans has shattered into pieces after this news. The Grey’s Anatomy lead announces that she will be leaving the series after 19 seasons. The announcement was made through her Instagram handle.
“I am eternally grateful and humbled by the love and support you have all shown me, Meredith GREY, and the show for 19 seasons! Through it all… none of it… would have been possible without the best fans in the world. You all are RIDERS and you all have made the ride so fun and ICONIC!!!
“I love you madly and appreciate you right back. This isn’t your first time on the rollercoaster… you know the show must go on and I’ll definitely be back to visit. With a lot of love and immense gratitude XoE”.
Meredith Grey star was the only original character left in the show. Pompeo has been part of the show for nearly 2 decades. Meredith Grey would be seen until halfway through its 19th season. She will appear in the first 8 episodes of the 19th season. The Second half of the series would begin on the 23rd of February. Though she claims to make a guest appearance in the future. Her character made the story more interesting. It’ll be no surprise if the show loses its charm after this. But let’s see how loyal the fans are to the show.
