Don’t Worry Darling is coming to the theatres just after a few days however the controversy surrounding the film and director Olivia Wilde seems to end after the movie’s cinematographer Matthew Libatique has broken his silence on the alleged dispute between Wilde and the film’s cast Florence Pugh. The cinematographer has thrown light on the recent tension calling all these rumors “completely untrue.”

The anticipated thriller film Don’t Worry Darling is in the limelight much more due to the people involved in the film. From the replacement of actor Shia Labeouf with Harry Styles to the alleged on-set tension between Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh, the movie is surrounded by many controversies.

Due to the ongoing strings of things, the movie itself is not getting the limelight that it should be getting. To save the upcoming movie, the cinematographer Matthew Libatique shared insight on working with the director, throwing light on the controversies.

In a new episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Behind The Screen podcast, the American cinematographer claimed that the movie’s set was probably “the most harmonious set I’ve ever been on.”

Sharing that he was totally in denial when he heard about the rumors circulating about the alleged feud between the members of the film. “When I hear that there are rumors of acrimony on the set, I reject it. It wasn’t apparent at all.”

For the unversed, it is rumored that Wilde and Pugh’s alleged feud appeared when the former cast her boyfriend Harry Styles in the movie claiming that she removed the former actor LaBeouf due to Pugh.

According to the cinematographer, the director had always believed in her team and praised her by stating, “Olivia built a team that believed in her and she believed in each and everybody on the set”

Sharing more about the topic, “From my standpoint, the stories are completely untrue when it comes to being on set,” he reiterated, adding, “I can’t speak to post-production at all.”

The 54-year-old explained, “Whatever happened, it happened way after I left … I was never witness to anything. And I didn’t feel anything. You know, you get a feeling that there might be something going on and I didn’t feel anything.”

As per the reports, Pugh and Wilde’s alleged feud was widened more due to the latter’s on-set romance with lead actor Styles, however, she has already denied and explained that she did not overlap her relationship with her former partner Jason Sudeikis.

The film, Don’t Worry Darling starring Pugh and Styles will be released in the United States on September 23 2022
