“There’s no point in you being here”: Kelly Ripa Was Asked to Leave Her Own Talk Show After Suffering From Mysterious Disease

Kelly Ripa has taken a much-needed break from her second home, Live with Kelly and Ryan. She was away due to a decline in her health condition but is now back. Monday morning was made more lovely by her return for the recent episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan. She discussed the reason for her absence from the show with her co-host Ryan Seacrest. The show’s host had struggled with sickness for the previous week. She shared the moment she realized she would need to take more time off before returning. She reportedly received instructions from the show’s producer, Michael Gelman, to leave and take a much-needed break, so she wouldn’t exert herself further.

She was even seen sucking on a throat lozenge when she entered the stage with Seacrest, showing that she had been extremely ill. While, Ryan Seacrest, the show’s DJ, and Deja Vu, mixed in previously recorded segments over the course of the previous week.

Return of Kelly Ripa with an update on her health!

The 52-year-old former star of All My Children premiered a brand-new season of her popular talk show, Live with Kelly and Ryan with her co-host, Ryan Seacrest. The producers posted a behind-the-scenes video of the pair returning to the set was posted on the official Live Instagram handle. “Our new season begins today,” the caption read. Kelly Ripa then recalled how the show’s producer, Michael Gelman had asked her to go home and rest so that she wouldn’t feel more lethargic. Gelman said, “You have to go. You’re a talk show host and you have no voice, and there’s no point in you being here.”

While she was imitating her scratchier voice from when she was sicker, there was laughter heard in the studio. She said, “There’s a lot I have to say.” The co-hosts are introduced in the video clip by announcer Deja Vu, who doesn’t waste any time in grand entrance. Ripa wore a Gabriela Hearst Daphine twill dress made of a cashmere blend. Seacrest, on the other hand, is dressed in a black button-down shirt and a charcoal grey suit.

Kelly Ripa’s frustration over ongoing illness

The mother of three expressed her frustration over her ongoing illness. Kelly Ripa has been having vocal struggles and finding it difficult to speak at work. This was brought up on her first day when she talked openly to co-host Ryan Seacrest about losing her voice after hosting. The Hope and Faith actress continued, “When you get sick and you have the audacity to test negative for everything… ” while addressing the audience directly. Her fans were insistent that she take more time off to rest and recover. They took to social media and following the episode, urged her to stay at home. One fan even commented on social media, “Kelly, the voice!?? How are you going to do this!!? Get better soon.”

Fans may be aware that there hasn’t been a new episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan being aired in a while. As the hosts had to take short breaks before beginning the new season, ABC continued to air recorded episodes during those times. However, show’s producers released a new BTS video for the second episode of the season on Tuesday. It features Ripa in a stunning floral purple dress.
