The superpowers of the iconic comic villains are vast and it does not work the way people assume it to be. Comics and getting into the world of comics could be an endless hole. Sometimes, it even takes decades to get everything cleared about the powers in the comic book universe. However, in many cases, the facts and assumptions contradict each other but it even becomes significant to discover whose power wok in what way. There are various wrong facts and assumptions made against both the heroes and villains of the comic world and that is why the false rumours get hype in place of the actual powers.

With that said, here are the 5 supervillains who don’t work the way we think –

Doctor Doom

1 15

The genius ruler of Latveria, Doctor Doom, has defeated the Fantastic Four in one day. After watching Fantastic Four in 2005, many fans developed a misconception that he gained his powers while being on a mission with the FF and Reed Richards. But, the fact is: Doctor Doom was trained by Morgan Le Fey and his mother to possess the Mystic Arts. He received the scars when he was trying to open a portal to Hell to rescue his mother from Mephisto’s clutches.

Apocalypse

2 11

There is a misconception that all mutants are born with superpowers. In this regard, Apocalypse was an exception. But, apart from the fact that he was from Ancient Egypt and was immortal, do we really what does he do? The reality is: Apocalypse can reshape its own molecules. This is what he calls ‘self-molecular manipulation.’ As a result, he can regenerate his body after facing damage or an injury. This makes him powerful enough to square against the Hulk.

Taskmaster

3 9

Taskmaster is perhaps the most powerful villain of all time and has some really interesting superpowers in the comic universe. He can mimic the abilities of others. But, this is just one side of a story. There is a lot more that he can actually do. He was born with photographic reflexes that enable him to copy other’s abilities but that is not all he is capable of. Taskmaster is also capable of mirroring combat plays that is a result of the super-soldier serum.

Poison

4 9

Poison Ivy is a great Batman villain who has a psychic connection with plants. She has a superpower to command plants to grow and strike respectively apart from having a poisonous kiss. This is what we thought her superpower is, but there is a lot more that she could do. As per the Fans of Swamp Thing comics, Poison possesses a power that can connect all plant life together. She can connect, command, and communicate with her ‘The Green’ power.

Kingpin

5 9

Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of the underworld, has men to do all the crimes under his command. He has only 9 pounds of fat in his entire body. The rest is pure muscle. This makes Kingpin have a superhuman kind of strength that can even help him take down Spiderman in a fight.
