“They see white and black. I don’t”: Michael B Jordan Was Not Happy After Being Forced to Date Black Women Amid Kendall Jenner Dating Rumors

Michael B Jordan maintains a largely private love life despite being one of Hollywood’s hottest hunks. The actor has intentionally avoided discussing the majority of his relationships over the years, but he has nonetheless been linked to a number of women, including Kiki Layne and Kendall Jenner.

Speculation about his possible relationship with Jenner started when a photo of the 36-year-old actor and the American model leaving the Met Gala after-party together appeared online in May 2015.  Jordan, however, wasn’t bothered by the rumors; rather, what really frustrated him were the prejudiced comments made by his fans.

The actor admitted that the gossip had caused him to second-guess about him going public with his private life. His most well-known relationship to date involved Lori Harvey, the daughter of Steve Harvey, whom he dated for more than a year before their breakup in June 2022.

When Michael B Jordan Faced Backlash Over Kendall Jenner Dating Rumors

After the pair were seen leaving a Met Gala afterparty together in May 2015, Michael B Jordan was linked to Kendall Jenner. Jordan wasn’t annoyed by the media flurry or relationship rumors that surfaced right away; instead, he was annoyed by the negative attitude some people displayed in response. The actor’s dating preferences came up once again after he shared a music video for Black Woman by rapper Nick Grant, which sparked some negative feedback on social media.

The Fantastic Four actor explained to GQ in 2018 that this is the world we live in. “They see white and black. I don’t.”

Many black fans thought, “Oh, my God, he should have been with a black woman,” and other similar sentiments, he continued. “I get it, but on the other hand it’s, like, relax.

Later reports confirmed that the two were not dating and were accidentally photographed leaving the Met afterparty at the same time.

He Likes ‘Women, Period All Women’

Michael B. Jordan put an end to the rumors by saying that he has been the world and that he loves a variety of people. He cares deeply about them.  It is absurd for anyone to doubt his devotion to Black women.

The quote from Michael B. Jordan from 2015 went viral on social media: “People can like one another, not necessarily from the same history or culture or whatever the f*ck it is.” The actor explained his decision to avoid dating Black women in a GQ interview by saying, “It’s just the new world, you know what I mean.

In a later interview with GQ, the actor addressed the relationship rumors, as well as the hostile responses some people had to them. Jordan, who is the cover star of GQ magazine’s October 2015 issue, said, “It’s the world we live in.

Jordan even addressed the lingering rumors in an interview with The Breakfast Club in 2019. He said that he likes “women, period. All women.”

While Jordan often receives media attention for his dating life, he always refuses to let it deter him from his main objective of erasing the distinction between black and white actors in Hollywood.
