In recent years, Black Widow has been one of the most thrilling additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This was due to the fact that Black Widow is one of the few characters who has yet to be thoroughly examined. Her sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame added to the mystery surrounding her character. Fans had been clamouring for a standalone film starring her for a long time, and Black Widow was the solution. The film delivered far more than we had anticipated from the Avenger. The film is also the second in the MCU to feature a female superhero.

The first film in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Widow, was well worth the wait. Despite the fact that the film served as a conclusion to the character of Natasha Romanov, portrayed to perfection by Scarlett Johansson. The film also introduced certain characters who will most likely play important roles in the franchise’s future. We met Rachel Weisz’s Melina, David Harbour’s Alexei or Red Guardian, and Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster. Another notable inclusion was Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, who has already been cast in several upcoming MCU projects. Based on the movie’s post-credits sequence, we may anticipate her to appear alongside Hawkeye in the upcoming Disney+ series Hawkeye.

The film was able to reveal information about the character that had previously been withheld due to her past appearances in the MCU. Everything leads up to Avengers: Infinity War’s events. Prior to the events of the film, she was meant to be on the run from the police as a result of the Avengers splitting up after Captain America: Civil War. This fleeing from authority is an underlying storyline in the film. Secretary Ross and his troops do appear in the beginning of the film, and they also appear at the conclusion after Black Widow and the others bring down the base of the Red Room. She appears to have surrendered to the authorities at the conclusion, as her family flees. As she subsequently appears as a free person in the film, there is no evidence of how she managed to elude the authorities.

The Deleted Scene:

The film was just launched on the Disney+ streaming service. Along with it, we got to see a deleted scene from Twitter, which may have led to a different ending for the film. Natasha’s flight from authority is addressed in this scene. Natasha surrenders to Williams Hurt’s Secretary Ross in the scene published by the Twitter handle @queenromxnov, and she is brought into jail with Taskmaster. Ross questions her about how she brought down the Red Room, and she first admits that she had some assistance. But then she claims she was only a number and that she did everything herself. This was her endeavour to keep any knowledge about her family and the other widows hidden. Then Ross has a conversation with her that ends with him turning around to see she has picked the lock on her shackles and fled.

While this sequence was able to clarify some significant issues about the film’s finale, it also strangely provided us with some insight into the connection shared by Ross and Natasha. Other potential occurrences are introduced by the scenario itself. In the sequence depicting Taskmaster being dragged along with Ross, however, in the film, we see Taskmaster escape with the other Widows. The circumstances leading up to Ross establishing the Thunderbolts might have been clearly set up in the alternate ending. With Zemo having an important role in both The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, we anticipated seeing the Thunderbolts in the MCU.

While this is an essential addition, it is perhaps preferable that it was not included given the importance given to Black Widow’s character. The film does provide us a glimpse into the future, but setting up another huge event may have shifted the attention away from Black Widow. Natasha is featured in numerous episodes of the Disney+ series What If…?, which is related to the events of the MCU. This is a clear indication that she may emerge in another future project if the Multiverse is utilized.
