This Avengers 4 Fan-Theory Teases A Terrifying Future Scenario For Tony Stark

The Avengers will be making some sacrifices in Avengers 4 to stop Thanos but Tony Stark might have to face a particularly terrifying scenario.

Earlier in Infinity War, we saw Tony desiring to have a son with Pepper Potts. The dream which felt too real to him might become a reality, as a huge portion of Stark’s story has been about his desire for a family.

In the dream, Pepper and Tony are living in an almost-happily-ever-after scenario with their family as the world is suffering post-Thanos’ snap. It seems like, Tony might have to sacrifice his son when the time comes to undo Thanos’ deadly snap.

A Reddit theory states that Tony will have to mirror Thanos’ actions from Infinity War. It further reveals that Tony will be making his way to the Vormir where Red Skull would demand the sacrifice of something he loves in exchange for the Soul Stone. The theory claims that Stark will offer his son in exchange for the Soul Stone. Basically, Tony will sacrifice the life of his own son in exchange for the lives of Black Panther, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and other heroes.

Moreover, with time travel being teased in Ant-Man & The Wasp’s post-credits scene, Tony might have to face the same brutal outcome in just a less blunt manner.

However, the leaked set pictures hint at the time travel theory and I’m doing so, the Avengers might end up creating a new timeline where they’ll prevent half of the universe from disappearing. And in doing the same, Tony might have to erase the timeline in which his family and son resides.

All the questions will be finally answered when Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3, 2019.
