“This time things went a little too far”: Britney Spears Blasts Fans for ‘Gaslighting and Bullying’ Her By Calling the Cops on Her in Her Own Home
Recently Britney Spears went through another session of erratic behavior wherein she changed her Instagram name from Channel 8 to River Red, and then deleted her account. Her fans, concerned over her weird behavior, called the police on her for a wellness check. Despite begging for privacy from her fans and followers, Spears’ privacy was hacked by the netizens, when apparently concerned fans called the police on her.
Since the incident, Twitter became a platform for Britney Spears fans to give their opinions. Some Twitteratis considered it a privacy breach, while others understood why some fans desperately called the police on her. Amidst the furor, Britney Spears personally took to Twitter to express her feelings regarding the situation created by her concerned fans.
Britney Spears took to Twitter to rip off her fans
There have been several occasions where the pop singer begged her fans and media to respect her privacy, however, her requests have always been turned down. Earlier the pop star took things lightly and even shared enough of her life with her fans. But after the recent turn of events Spears realized that her fans are simply beaching her privacy, gaslighting her, and bullying her in the name of concern.
After the 41-year-old deactivated her Instagram account, fans forced the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department to rush to her house for a wellness check. After the incident took place, Britney Spears came at her fans for conducting prank calls in the name of concern.
Britney Spears wrote a long tweet stating,
“As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls”. She added, “I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded.”

Spears came at her concerned fans with,
“This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media.”
Britney Spears’ erratic behavior caused the online hullabaloo
After the singer expressed her true feelings related to the incident, fans became outrageous and went on to bash the star for not realizing their concerns. The entire mayhem went on after the singer came at her fans and her outraged fans replied back bashing the singer.
One fan replied “If you tried less frantic erratic posts/twirling videos that make people concerned about your physical, mental wellbeing…perhaps those people would not have felt the need to necessitate calling,”
Others simply replied to her being confused between concerned calls to pranks calls. “For 13 years the public was lied to and Britney was forced to lie and say she was okay when she wasn’t. This wasn’t based on a prank call,” a fan justified.

Some fans are even concerned about Britney Spears’ written post on Twitter since most of the time the singer comes out with a video post which apparently helps her express herself better. People still seem quite concerned about her well-being and wish to learn about her from her own mouth through a video post.

The commotion broke out after the 41-year-old deleted her Instagram account. Fans felt deleting posts was some kind of cry for help on the singer’s end. There have been several occasions when Spears deleted her social media handles and “Britney is missing” trended on Twitter.
However, it feels like the singer simply deletes her accounts to have some privacy or maybe even create an uproar in the media, and fans somehow still don’t feel habituated to her behavior.
