Disney+ has released some of the best series of 2021 worldwide. Perhaps the one unique selling point of Disney+ was the fact that it managed to line up a significant array of TV shows both from the High School Musical and Marvel Universe. With that being said, from original fantasy series to follow-up seasons, 2021 has encountered some of the greatest series of all time. These are the top 5 of them –

What If…?

Marvel Cinematic Universe launched its first-ever animated show on Disney+ this year. While series like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier failed to position itself as the best one in the list, What If…? managed to prove its worth. With that being said, Marvel’s What If…? is based entirely on the comic book of the same name where the narration is all about heroes from alternate universes. Apparently, not every other episode was that great. However, the idea and the uniqueness behind the concept is what made its animation style stand worthy enough to watch and enjoy for the fans.

High School Musical: Season 2

Next on the list is High School Musical season 2. With that being said, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series was the first standout show of Disney+. While the first season included some great music, good narration, and quite a whimsical vibe, it helped the world meet Olivia Rodrigo before she became a huge pop star. Well, season 2 of High School Musical aired in 2021 and it was undoubtedly the best thing to stream when the global pandemic was locking the world down.

WandaVision

WandaVision was perhaps the first MCU series for Disney+ and it was quite trippy to be honest. The entire story of the series was based on the grief that Wanda had after she lost her brother in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Vision in Avengers: Infinity War. The series managed to become quite popular as fans from all around the world started sharing theories about what might happen next. While the series wasn’t that great at all the time, the spectacular performances by Elizabeth Olsen, Kathryn Hahn, and Paul Battany are what make it a worth watch in the list.

Hawkeye

The latest MCU series is flying higher than most of the ones that came before. With that being said, Marvel’s Hawkeye is all about the street-level crime that sees Clint Barton struggling due to his sins. However, thanks to Hailee Steinfeld’s performance, fans already love Kate Bishop as a character. Perhaps characters like her and Hawkeye and Yelena Belova are the reason why people are captivated by this Marvel and Disney+ series.

Loki

Well, of course, Loki. When Marvel first announced this series, it was not at all clear that what exactly it is going to be about and how will it relate to the MCU. But when the series showed up, everything changed significantly. With that being said, Loki was all about the titular character’s journey after he breaches the timeline and gets arrested by the Time Variance Authority. However, the season finale changes pretty much everything for the Marvel Cinematic Universe by introducing the major villain, Kang the Conqueror.
