MCU fans are busy combing through all the fine details of the Avengers: Endgame trailer, looking for more details as to how Infinity War’s sequel will turn out. This includes digging up the Marvel Comics Easter Eggs that are usually included in all MCU footages. This early search has now turned up a sombre reference to the original Infinity Gauntlet storyline that started it all.

As you may notice, this Endgame scene where Bruce Banner and Avengers try to tally which heroes are dead or missing is a direct reference to the original “Infinity Gauntlet” storyline which has a detailed panel of every Marvel hero who lost his/her after Thanos’ deadly snap.

Obviously, the list of heroes is different than what we had in the comics but fans are already including Daredevil and Luke Cage in the comic book art since both heroes had their shows cancelled recently.

In the comics, Thanos’ “Snap” is the beginning of the story, as Marvel Comics heroes are unaware of the Infinity Gauntlet and its six gens until after its already too late. In addition to the heroes, cosmic entities like The Living Tribunal and Eternity also hold their own court to determine if they must intervene against Thanos’ act of disruption of the natural order.

These entities then mount their own attack against Thanos, something that might be the part of Endgame. Eternity has been teased as a part of Quantum Realm which will clearly have a huge role in the film.

It has also been teased that Thanos may not be the only threat in Endgame, which could be true if Marvel Cosmic entities decide that mortals have obtained a power set that they shouldn’t have.

Avengers: Endgame will hit the theatres on April 26, 2019.
