Nearly one million people intend to storm Area 51 on the September 20th. However, the Defense Department doesn’t think it’s such a wise idea. As of this writing, a Facebook event has over 873,000 people signed up to go “see them aliens” and also over 763,000 people “interested.” While this is more than likely a joke event, it has captured the imagination of a lot people who really want to know what the government is hiding from us in the mysterious Area 51 in Nevada.

The top-secret military facility has been operating since 1955, but the United States government did not acknowledge its existence until 2013 and alien enthusiasts want to know what they have been doing there for over 60 years. Air Force spokeswoman Laura McAndrews does not think the “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us” event is a wise decision, even if it’s a joke. She had this to say.

″(Area 51) is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces. The U.S. Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets.”

The idea is to storm the gates of Area 51 in the early morning of September 20th. While many of the people in the comments section of the event are having fun, there are more than a few extraterrestrial fans who are taking this very seriously. However, is walking up to the gates of a heavily secured government building with armed guards a good idea? No, it’s not. Maybe the government will finally open it to the public in the near future, but for now, it remains to be closed to the public.

The execution of the event is a big No,No!

Social media user “SmyleeKun” is responsible for the Facebook page , and is best-known for posting memes and streaming to fans on Twitch. SmyleeKun has now created a brand-new meme economy after his event went viral. Alien and Area 51 memes are now all over the internet as people try and figure out how to get into the top-secret compound at Nellis Air Force Base Complex. Doing a “naruto run” at the base is definitely one way to get yourself killed by the United States government.

Storming the gates of Area 51 isn’t going to happen, even if more than a hundred people actually show up to the “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us” event. Why not try something a little more stealth like dressing like an alien and having the government capture you? That’s a probably a better way to get inside the gates and have medical experiments done on you. At least you’ll finally know of aliens really exist. Former Blink-182 guitarist Tom Delonge has threatened for years to reveal the real existence of aliens and has yet to do so. The Defense Department comments were originally told to The Washington Post.
