At the Hobbs & Shaw premier, ET brought up the Catwoman rumours to Vanessa Kirby. She said:

“I don’t know anything about it.”

But she did mention that it would be a dream to play Catwoman. She then went on to talk about the workout routine she’s have to follow if she played Catwoman, saying:

“Oh my god, are you kidding? I have to do lots of squats. I mean, literally, lots of squats.”

Catwoman has been portrayed on screen several times by actors including Michelle Pfeiffer, Camren Bicondova, Eartha Kitt, Halle Berry and Anne Hathaway. It should also be mentioned that there has been no official confirmation that the character will indeed appear in The Batman.

Kirby has an impressive theatre, movie and TV track record. She recently appeared in 2018’s Mission: Impossible- Fallout. In the upcoming Hobbs and Shaw, she will be playing Hattie Shaw, a MI6 field agent and sister of Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw. The character is said to be involved in quite some action sequences, as she should be, since the movie in itself is being touted as pure adrenaline fun.

The Batman will be releasing on June 25, 2021.

Hobbs and Shaw will be releasing on August 2.
