It was revealed last week that Disney is no longer planning to rehire James Gunn for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Now we have another member of the Marvel family saying the same.
Vincent D’Onofrio who plays Kingpin in Netflix’s Daredevil tweeted a link to the most recent update about the director, with a caption, “This is a big bummer.”

Vincent isn’t the first Marvel cast member to address the drama. The drama has been acknowledged by many actors in Hollywood and while many fans hoped that Gunn would be rehired, it appears like this won’t be the case.
Disney will most likely move ahead with Gunn’s script for the film but a new director to the franchise will definitely bring in some changes. There have been many celebrities who’ve come out to support James Gunn, like Selema Blair and Jerry Seinfeld. The director was also supported by the entire cast of Guardians of the Galaxy, writing an open letter to Disney against Gunn’s firing.
