The Love in the Brain artist revealed an emotional moment when shooting the magazine’s cover with her kid. She observed a few paparazzi in the distance trying to snapshots of her baby boy, which was yet to be shared with the public.

“It’s the kind of thing you never want to happen,” RiRi said. “As parents, we get to choose when and how we do this. That’s the end of the narrative.”

Later, Rihanna took matters into her own hands and released the first official photographs from her son’s photoshoot via her Twitter handle, but it didn’t go down well with trolls, who labeled her a hypocrite for criticizing the paparazzi for taking her son’s photos without permission while she did the same by posting the photos online. RiRi said, “Put me to the wolves. You can do whatever you want with me. But he has no say in the matter.” The singer went on,

“We’ve been protecting him so far, and you don’t have my permission to post or sell images of my underage child. I yelled, ‘Get the hell out of here,’ and we went straight into protective mode, leaving the beach where they were shooting to work out a plan of action with Rocky.”

“I immediately went into defensive mode. It’s as if there was no time for wrath. Rocky and I went up to the trailer area and sat in the car, chatting and planning our next steps. It just feels horrible, like a betrayal to us as parents,” she explained.
