While having a fan girl moment, the Yes Day star nervously met Paul Mescal during the awards ceremony when he introduced himself. The 20-year-old star was to sit at the same table as Zendaya and Mescal.
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC, Jenna Ortega shared how she freaked out while meeting the Irish actor. Recalling the moment when Ortega was shown her table where Zendaya and Mescal were already seated, she mentioned how her heart was thumping. Ortega shared “But I was kind of freaking out because she was sitting next to Paul Mescal, who I think is so talented and so good,” clearly admiring Mescal.

“And I was so nervous to meet him and I knew he was going to be at my table. He introduced himself to me when I wasn’t expecting it.”
Getting into detail the Wednesday star added, “He was like ‘oh hi nice to meet you I’m Paul’ and I was so nervous I kind of couldn’t look him in the eye”.
