“Well, I wanted to bring another girl into bed with us”: Jon Cryer Was Forced to Break up With His Girlfriend After Charlie Sheen’s Shocking Revelations About Her
Charlie Sheen’s exit from Two and a Half Men went infamously down in history, and the show was the worse for it. The jingle writer was after all the soul of the sitcom and no amount of Ashton Kutcher’s good looks or charm could salvage the show anymore. Part of the reason could be how easy it was for Charlie Sheen to portray Charlie Harper, being pretty similar to him in many aspects. Jon Cryer, his on-screen younger brother, got a testament of it the hard way.
Jon Cryer cherished his early years on Two and a Half Men with Charlie Sheen
Jon Cryer recalled his stint on Two and a Half Men in 2022, as he shared with People his early years with costar Charlie Sheen,
“In the early years, the life with Charlie Sheen was great. We got along great, he had been sober for two years when we started the show, and it was really important to him to keep sober. And for those first few years, the show was also going so smoothly. He just had it straight out of the box like it was genetically programmed into his body. That was fun and very self-assured. For those first couple of years, it was, you know, an incredible joy.”
Of course, Sheen’s sobriety didn’t last forever and eventually, things went haywire with him.
How Charlie Sheen unintentionally ruined Jon Cryer’s relationship
Once the on-screen brothers had a rather fictionalized real-life incident. Much like the elder Harper used to steal all the ladies, Sheen once came between one of Cryer’s love affairs, however unintentionally.
Cryer described the incident saying that he and Sheen happened to be single simultaneously. Soon after, the Hit by Lightning actor started dating a girl he met at a party. The girl, whose name was Stephanie, happened to be a former “close” acquaintance of Sheen. She told Cryer that she knew Sheen while working as a waitress at La Moustache but she didn’t tell him how.
An unwitting Jon Cryer was informed by Sheen what was really the matter with the two. He shared Sheen’s confession with The Hollywood Reporter.

The Hot Shots actor came clean to Cryer and said,
“Hey, listen, we gotta talk. I’ve been talking to my therapist because I don’t know if I should say anything. I’ve been agonizing about this, dude, really. I … I don’t know how to say this, but … Stephanie and I used to date.”
Sheen went on to claim that it was a casual thing, but things got disturbing when Cryer asked the reason behind their breakup.
“Charlie said, “Well, I wanted to bring another girl into bed with us, and she was not happy about that.” And then he looked me straight in the eye and with no trace of irony, said, “So heads-up on that.” I went home that night and broke up with Stephanie.”
And that is the story of how Charlie Harper unintentionally swooped his little brother’s girl in real life as well.
