What If…? has just established itself as one of the most significant occurrences in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The animated series was always canon, although it was rarely taken seriously, with the plots sometimes resembling fanservice. The first few episodes provided us with storylines that did not provide us with anything to worry about. These episodes focused on the tales that fan theories had most likely hinted at. Each episode seemed like a standalone story, narrated by The Watcher.

However, the penultimate episode provided us with a far better understanding of the Watcher. He is up against one of the most powerful adversaries from one of the other universes. In episode 8 of What If…?, we take a look at the newly acquired multiverse traversing Powers of Ultron.

Ultron:

Ultron originally appeared in the Avengers: Age of Ultron. He was one of Tony Stark’s greatest failures, which has always been a key theme in Tony Stark’s portion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When attempting to collaborate with Bruce Banner on an AI, Stark ended up producing Ultron. Ultron is adamant about achieving peace, and he understands that the only way to do it is to annihilate humanity once and for all. The film succeeds mostly due to the presence of a significant villain and a danger to the MCU’s heroes. Since then, Marvel has continued to provide us with villains that have had a significant influence on the MCU. This led us to believe that Ultron was, after all, forgettable.

What If…? Episode 8 basically ended up giving us a version of Ultron that was successful at everything he failed at in the film. He successfully takes over Vision’s body and achieves his first victory over the Avengers. The film depicted an alternative occurrence in which the Avengers were able to prevent this from happening and instead transformed Vision into a hero who subsequently proved to be highly useful in defeating Ultron. To make matters worse, Ultron obtains the Infinity Stones. This enabled him to amass far more power than anybody else in the universe.

Ultron’s Capabilities:

The acquisition of the Infinity Stones was the first important event that led to Ultron’s becoming a major power. With an energy blast from the Mind Stone, he literally split Thanos in half. He hadn’t even gotten the Stones yet, and he was able to do so. It was a smooth transition, and he had no idea who Thanos was. This was actually a foreshadowing of everything that was to come in his journey.

Ultron Vs The Watcher
Ultron is able to knock down The Watcher

Another sign of Ultron’s powers was when he became aware of the Watcher’s presence. We’ve seen something similar happen previously, when Doctor Strange attained maximum strength by fighting some of the most powerful creatures. He grew so strong that he could hear Uatu’s narrative. This clearly demonstrated that the Watcher’s presence could be felt by some of the most powerful creatures. Ultron was able to detect Uatu’s presence after completing his aim of annihilating all life in the cosmos. Not only that, but he was able to gaze at him, which was one step above what the wicked Doctor Strange was capable of. The power to wield all of the Infinity Stones permitted him to develop his own Cosmic Awareness.

Multiverse Traveling Powers of Ultron:

As soon as he finds Uatu’s existence, he bursts through this realm from which Uautu observes the whole multiverse. Ultron travels across these other realms while fighting Uatu. This might be owing to the Space Stone, which allows one to travel wherever in the cosmos they want. According to the comic books, when the different stones are combined, their abilities are enhanced.

Ultron is undoubtedly one of the most powerful villains Marvel has ever seen. He may now visit all of the various universes to ensure that he completes his mission. Given that the story is canon, the MCU’s greatest nightmares may come true if he comes to see them here. Ultron is truly wielding the full extent of the power granted to him by the Infinity Stones.

As a result, this theory explains Ultron’s New Multiverse Traveling Powers. To be honest, the Ultron we saw in Avengers: Age of Ultron is far more powerful and intelligent than the one we saw in Avengers: Age of Ultron. This Ultron in Vision’s body really has the upper hand at several things and was able to kick the watcher’s ass for good in episode 8. So what do you guys think about this version of Ultron’s power?
