Ever since the #MeToo movement, the men in Hollywood have had a hard time with tons of them being accused of abuse by women, a lot of times by their wives. The truth about the accusations is always up for debate, leaving the fans divided. The recent Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial is one such example of how complicated celebrities’ cases of abuse allegations can be. There are other couples in Hollywood as well whose separation has been messy and subject to the judgement of millions online.
Brad Pitt accused of child abuse by Angelina Jolie
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s relationship was one of the most popular ones in Hollywood. The two were married for two years before separating in 2016 due to “irreconcilable differences.” However, later the actor was accused of child abuse, and the FBI and the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services took up the investigation. Allegedly, there was a fight between Angelina and Bratt on the family’s private jet. During the fight, Maddox, Angelina and Brad’s adopted son, stepped in to stand up for her mother, due to which Brad lost his anger, and the fight escalated. Even though the actor was cleared of the accusations, it did leave a scar on his reputation.
Marilyn Manson accused of grooming and abusive behaviour by Rachel Evans Wood
Marilyn Manson was also accused of abuse by his wife, Rachel Evans Wood, in 2021. In a statement on Instagram, Wood stated,
“He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail.”
Manson denied the allegations, but despite this, Loma Vista, the recording label, stepped back from promoting Manson’s album or working with him on any future projects. Wood also accused Manson of conspiring to release underage photos of her. Apart from Wood, several other women and men have also accused Manson of abuse, both physical and sexual.
