20th Century Fox’s X-Men film which was released back in 2000 was loved by everyone and especially the Marvel Comics fans. Since 2 decades, the fans have been waiting patiently in order to watch the mutants come face to face with rest of Marvel Universe.

After putting in some hard work, Disney has finally got the iconic characters under the same roof. There is a lot of hype about the Mutant’s arrival but we are still wondering how will the Marvel Studios manage to bring the X-Men into the MCU effortlessly.

Series
X-Men

Several attempts have been made to turn the series into TV shows and even took time to study the characters with their problems. The latest attempt for a live-action series was made with The Gifted and Legion, which started in 2017 and lasted till 2019.

All the shows have been different but yet have got some amazing fan following especially Legion which received critical praise. Last week during the Disney+ Day, it was announced that a continuation for the classic X-Men: The Animated Series is in works!

Films
X-Men

This is a sign that fans prefer seeing the characters in other formats rather than the films and the Marvel Studios should have taken advantage of the same. The Animated Series showcases the relationships of the mutant classmates at the Xavier Institute. We see the superhero professors and how they deal with all the pressure from the world. This could have been a great way for the Marvel Universe to reintroduce the characters.

What would be interesting is how MCU introduces mutants to its universe and this show could actually explore how Charles Xavier started his mutant team who wear two hats – of professor and superhero. The series could hint about the upcoming X-Men film and audiences would love a fresh new take on the characters.

Comics
X-Men x Avengers

Other seasons of the show could maybe re-introduce the fan favorite characters like Wolverine in the TV series instead of going all bonkers and making yet another Wolverine film, especially since we already have few and we love those films. You can’t beat Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine films!

It is understandable that it will take quite some time for Marvel studios to announce X-Men into the MCU. And probably the immense powers of mutants would just make their work harder!

Hopefully it’s in near future. What a treat it would be to fans, especially Marvel Comics fans! The show is expected in 2023
