Every year many fans watch their favourite superhero films. Studios like Marvel, DCEU and Sony are now creating their own superhero universes. Among all DCEU Films until now, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman stood out among the rest. The film was appreciated by both, fans and critics and now the franchise is coming back with its sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. The actress has received positive feedback from the audiences, however, there are many who feel that there are some actresses who can replace Gadot.

Now, there is a long list of talented actresses who can replace Gadot. So, today we bring to you five four actresses who could replace Gal Gadot (and four reasons why Gal Gadot will always be the best).

Replace: Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel came into the spotlight for her starring role in 7th Heaven. After that, she moved away from family dramas and has since starred in many action movies. She’s tough and not scared to kick a butt if needed. She co-starred in Blade Trinity and according to us, she will be suitable for the incredible action sequences in the film. Even many fans and critics agree that Jessica Biel can make a great Wonder Woman.

Always the best: Wonder Woman is the best film in DCEU until now

DCEU has disappointed many fans with their films until now. Most films had high expectations and they didn’t even come close to fulfilling them. Wonder Woman release last year in June and proved to be an instant success. Directed by Patty Jenkins, the film went on to become a huge box office success and currently holds a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Replace: Jamie Alexander

Jamie Alexander was actually pretty close to land herself up with this role and she would certainly be a good replacement in the future if ever needed. Alexander is currently working in the crime series, Blindspot. She came into limelight after her portrayal of Lady Sif in MCU’s Thor film series. She looked convincing in the role and even went on to audition for a role in DCEU. In fact, it was for the role of Wonder Woman in BvS: Dawn of Justice.

Always the best: A hero for both, girls and boys

Gal Gadot herself wants Wonder Woman to be a hero for all, just like many famous superheroes are geared towards boys, like Spider-Man, Batman and Superman. Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman is a superhero that women can look up to. However, Gadot wishes that her character is loved by both, men and women.

Katie McGrath

Katie McGrath has all the experience and tools in the world to take on the role of Wonder Woman. She currently plays Lena Luthor in Supergirl and CW’s Arrowverse. She has also appeared in Merlin, Slasher and Dracula. With her experience in horror and action roles, McGrath would be an excellent replacement, if Gadot ever needs a break.

Always the best: Gadot proved all criticism wrong

Gadot’s casting as Wonder Woman caused a lot of backlash among critics and fans. Most criticised her physical appearance, as it did not match the comic book version of the character. Many even called her too short and skinny for the role. However, Gadot proved everyone wrong with her incredible performance.

Replace: Olga Kurylenko

The role of Wonder Woman is a career-changing role in Hollywood. Among all the potentially talented candidates except Gadot, Olga Kurylenko actually came the closest to getting the role. In fact, she was among the finalists for the role. Olga is best known for her role as Bond girl Camille Montes in Quantum of Solace. Both fans and critics believe that she would have made a superb Wonder Woman.
