After being rumoured to undergo several reshoots with the main cast and delayed from its original release in November, we may finally get to watch the first trailer of X-Men: Dark Phoenix very soon.

Reported by Nikita Byrkin of the Flick, 20th Century Fox held a massive promotional presentation in St. Petersburg, Russia for upcoming Fox films like X-Men: Dark Phoenix and Alita: Battle Angel. Here’s what she posted on Twitter:

Dark Phoenix is scheduled for a release next year, around Valentine’s Day weekend before a month of the release of Captain Marvel. The first trailer for Captain Marvel was released a couple of days back and has since received mixed reviews from fans and critics.

Dark Phoenix is currently undergoing reshoots that are about to wrap up soon. The reshoots are happening this late because Sophie Turner, who plays Jean Grey in the film, had been held up filming the last season of the Game of Thrones. With the news of Disney-Fox acquisition around the corner, some fans even doubted the release of Dark Phoenix.

However, these rumours were axed when the reshoots for the film began in Montreal last month. Turner also revealed about the reshoots during an interview with Digitally Spy, saying that the film will be released next year around Valentine’s Day.

“I think it’s just a few bits and bobs, reshoot-wise,” Turner previously told Digital Spy. “To be honest, I don’t even know what we’re reshooting at the moment. So I couldn’t really tell you much about that one. All I know is that I’ll be back in Montreal at some point soon and that Valentine’s Day release date is quite a positive thing because Black Panther got released on Valentine’s Day. So we’re keeping positive about it.”

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is scheduled to release on February 14, 2019.
