‘You have enough money for vaseline’: Lady Gaga’s Bleeding Lip at Oscars 2023 Goes Viral
The recent Oscar awards witnessed many cool moments. And fortunately this time nothing popped up to make the atmosphere gloomy like the last one. Amid all the star-studded nominees and winners, Lady Gaga gave a wonderful performance of Hold My Hand. However, what caught people’s attention about her performance was not her singing but her lips. Many pointed out Gaga’s chapped lips and tweeted with hilarious reactions. Whatever the reason, before that she did have on red lipstick which she seemingly got rid of for the performance. She also shared what the song meant to her in addition to some words of encouragement to the audience.
Lady Gaga and her Chapped Lips At the Oscars Caught People’s Attention
Recently at the 95th Oscar Awards, Lady Gaga performed a live version of the oscar-nominated song Hold My Hand. The song is from the 2022 blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick. And although Gaga had on a good amount of red lipstick at the start of the show on the red carpet, she seemed to have ditched the look for her performance. However, what caught people’s attention later was how chapped the Born This Way singer’s lips appeared during the close-ups while she was performing.
Soon fans flooded Twitter with hilarious reactions. One wrote jokingly,
“Lady Gaga, I love you but … you have enough money for Vaseline,”
Another also mentioned that the singer was doing it for the “dry-lipped divas”. Some hilariously defended the Applause singer asking people to “Give her some grace,”. But above everything, she gave a splendid performance which helped enhance the experience for everyone. Moreover, she also shared words of love saying,
“You might find that you can be your own hero”
This was Gaga’s fourth performance at the prestigious awards function. She donned a black t-shirt and ripped jeans for this year’s performance.

Throughout her career, since she came to the spotlight, Lady Gaga has performed four times at the Oscar Awards including this year’s performance of Hold My Hand. The first time was back in 2015 when she performed a tribute to the classic film Sound of the Music. And the following year (2016) also saw her perform at the academy awards with the song Til It Happens to You.
Then the third performance two years later of A Star Is Born Ost Shallow with co-star Bradley Cooper. This one stirred some rumors of a brewing romance between the two. However, later it was revealed by Gag herself that it had all been intentional. And it was to fool people into thinking so.
