The actress recently had a Q&A session with Harper’s Bazaar. During the session, Jennifer Garner, a chicken owner, talks about her hair maintenance philosophy, explaining how one should feel better by using fewer amplifiers on their hair.

“My hair philosophy is the same way as how I approach makeup, which is that if you take care of your skin and hair, then you should feel good without adding anything major. As I get older, I probably need more mascara or to give my roots a little help, but I don’t have to do that, because I know that my skin and hair are as strong as ever.”

The actress even admits that age is a factor when it comes to the amount of makeup necessary to keep up appearances. Her philosophy behind hair maintenance, although basic, is arguably one of the best ways to maintain naturally good hair for anyone.

The celebrity appears to be one of the more humble celebrities as her philosophy hints at aiming for basic needs rather than glamming up whenever possible. When asked the question of coming across any beauty advice that the actress might have passed on to her daughters, she stated:

“My advice is to look at the mirror less and be cautious when it comes to injecting anything into your face. Be very, very incredibly judicious and wait as absolutely long as possible to add anything. Don’t think that you’re 37 and you need to be shooting up your face. You don’t need to wear so much makeup or have such a constant blowout.”

The above statement is an instant shade to the Kardashians as they are most recognized for constructing their beauty through multiple injections/surgeries in the name of appearance. Keeping that in mind, Jennifer Garner might have unintentionally poked at the Kardashians’ lifestyle with this statement.

If the actress has not convinced you that her philosophy is the best till now then her following statement should be the final nail to the coffin. Jennifer Garner stated that she even teaches her daughters the following lesson in beauty. Seraphina Rose, 13, and Violet Anne, 16, whom she had with her ex-husband Ben Affleck, whom she still regards as a good person and would not hesitate to stand up for.

“My beauty advice is always the same: Look in the mirror less, obsess less, and look at the rest of the world to see what you could be using your time for instead. We all look at our faces more than people used to, and it doesn’t do you any good.

Although this advice is more apt for celebrity beauty standards, it can be taken as universal advice for all those who focus too much on appearance and too less on the world around them.
