“You’re no longer welcome here”: Shakira Confesses She Was Hurt After Seeing Gerard Pique With Clara Chia as Former Footballer Engages in PDA to Spite Ex-Partner
Singer Shakira recently dropped a single called TQG in collaboration with singer Karol G. In the song, she acknowledged her fallout with footballer Gerard Pique. The two announced in June 2022 that they are officially ending their 11-year-long relationship. Reports claimed that the primary reason behind their split was Gerard Pique’s infidelity.
The soccer player reportedly cheated on the singer with a woman named Clara Chia Marti. Since their split, Gerard Pique has been spotted with his new girlfriend multiple times. This is not the first time the singer threw shade at her ex-boyfriend, she came after the footballer in a song called Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 she dropped in collaboration with Bizarrap last month.
Shakira dropped a new song
On Friday, singer Shakira dropped a new song called TQG in collaboration with singer Karol G. In the song, she admitted that she was “hurt” after she discovered that her ex-partner, footballer Gerard Pique, is cheating on her. The lyrics of the song (translated to English) are,
“Seeing you with the new one hurt me, but I’m already on my own, what we lived is forgotten and that’s what has offended you / And even my life has improved, you are no longer welcome here, what your girlfriend threw at me, that doesn’t even make me angry, I laugh.”
The singer also claimed in the song that after they broke up she “got triple M: better, harder, more level.”
The singer revealed that Gerard Pique wants to get back
Later in the song, the singer also sang about Gerard Pique trying to get her back. However, judging by his actions, it may not be the case. The footballer has been spotted with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti on multiple occasions. The lyrics said,
“Now you want to come back, you can tell, (mmm yeah), wait for me there, as if I’m an idiot.”
She further added that she won’t repeat the same mistakes as she said she won’t “repeat the same error.” She also claimed that Pique liked one of her pictures,
“And you want to come back, I already guessed it when you liked a picture of me.”
That was not it, she also sent out a message to Pique’s new girlfriend asking the footballer to “tell your new baby that I don’t compete for men.”
Shakira and Gerard Pique ended their relationship in June 2022
In June 2022, Gerard Pique and Shakira announced their split through a joint statement. They started dating in 2011 after they worked together on Shakira’s song, Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)‘s music video. They share two kids, Sasha and Milan, and fought a long battle to decide who gets their custody.
Initially, it was unclear why they decided to split, however, as time passed, it was revealed that the soccer player was cheating on the singer with a woman named Clara Chia Marti. The infidelity forced the singer to end their relationship instantly.
