Lamar Odom has been candid about his drug addiction and opened up about how his life-threatening addiction also had an impact on his relationship with his former wife, Khloe Kardashian. Things were never easy, however, his substance abuse once lead him to such an extreme that the situation eventually demanded his then-wife to kick in.
The former sports personality opened up about his substance abuse issues in his new special series, and recalled an incident when a woman he had been with at the time, had to call the Kardashian for help.

In his new special, TMZ PRESENTS: Lamar Odom: S*x, Drugs & Kardashians, the former professional basketball player revealed how he used to do drugs behind his then-wife, Khloe Kardashian‘s back. What’s more insane is he used to take drugs with other women.
He shared in the exclusive clip obtained by DailyMail,
“What could I actually tell Khloe to leave her for a few hours? To leave and go do drugs with some random woman.”
The former NBA star recalled an incident when his wife received a call from a woman he had been doing drugs with. He shared that he had been so into the substance one day that the woman he had been with called the Good American founder to ask for her help.
He stated,
“I’m going so heavy with the drugs that the woman actually gets into my phone and actually calls Khloe like, ‘You’ve gotta come and get him. He’s going crazy, he’s going to kill himself.'”
Drugs Was Lamar Odom’s Girlfriend During His Marriage With Khloe Kardashian
The former couple exchanged vows only after dating each other for a month in 2009. Though their relationship was short-lived, as they eventually called it quits in 2013.
His whirlwind romance with the socialite appeared on the episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The then-pair marriage timeline was also documented in Khloe & Lamar show in 2011, though it was canceled the following year.
Lamar Odom has admitted to battling with his severe addiction issues in the series and shared,
“Drugs, that was my girlfriend. I had a wife and cocaine.”
Back in 2015, he was in headlines for being put on life support after taking a life-threatening mixture of cocaine, alcohol, and a s*xual stimulant. He was found unresponsive after four days in a Nevada brothel. He gained consciousness after he was put on life support at a Las Vegas hospital. After fully recovering from the life-threatening situation, the then-estranged couple got their divorce finalized in 2016.
